Hyaluronic acid

Deep advanced wrinkles, which are already caused by a substance defect of the hypodermic tissue, may be treated by using so-called fillers. During a facial injection padding substances are being injected into the tissue beneath the skin fold in order to smooth wrinkles.

Modern plastic surgery mainly uses non-permanent fillers such as collagen or hyaluronic acid which will be absorbed again as the body’s own substances. Also, they do not provoke the formation of granuloma (small tuberous tissue neoplasm) as opposed to the substances used in the past. However the treatment with modern fillers must be repeated more or less every six months.

Fillers are particularly suitable for treatments of wrinkles around the mouth, creases between nose and mouth, to re-fill deep defects and scars as well as the molding and enhancement of lips.
